This striking exhibition poster reproduces RE26, one of Yves Klein’s powerful monochrome relief works, published in 1994 by Achenbach Editions for the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen as part of the Collection of European Masters series.

Rendered in Klein’s signature vivid red, the composition presents a richly textured surface punctuated by organic, crater-like forms that emerge from the field. The tactile quality of the image evokes the artist’s exploration of materiality and immateriality—central themes in Klein’s practice—where surface becomes both physical object and metaphysical space.

While Klein is most widely associated with his iconic International Klein Blue, his work in red monochromes carries a similar intensity, emphasizing energy, presence, and the sensory experience of color. The relief-like forms create subtle variations in depth and shadow, inviting the viewer into a contemplative engagement with texture and perception.

The poster’s clean, minimalist layout—featuring generous margins and understated typography—allows the composition to dominate visually, reinforcing the purity and impact of Klein’s aesthetic.

Printed in 1994, this unsigned offset lithograph is a fine example from the pre-digital poster era, valued for its strong color fidelity and its connection to an important institutional collection.

Professionally framed in black metal, the piece offers a sleek, gallery-ready presentation that complements its modern and minimalist character.

A bold and highly decorative work, ideal for collectors of post-war European art, monochrome abstraction, and design-forward interiors.

Framing available upon request.

About the Artist

Yves Klein

Yves Klein (1928–1962) was a French artist and a key figure in post-war European art. A leading member of the Nouveau Réalisme movement, Klein pioneered performance art and influenced minimal and pop art. His 1957 exhibition Proposte Monocrome, Epoca Blu in Milan featured 11 identical blue canvases using ultramarine pigment suspended in synthetic resin, which Klein called "The Medium." This technique led to the creation of International Klein Blue (IKB). Klein also took steps to preserve the authenticity of his color by depositing a Soleau envelope for his formula. The paintings were mounted on poles 20 cm from the walls, enhancing their spatial effect.
