This bold and visually engaging poster reproduces a classic Italian advertising design for Birra Italia Pilsen, celebrating the convivial spirit and graphic elegance of early 20th-century beer advertising.

At the center, a towering glass of golden beer rises dramatically, crowned with a frothy head that glows against a deep, dark background. Flanking the glass are stylized female figures rendered in fluid, Art Deco-inspired forms, their poses animated with rhythm and movement. A silhouetted central figure adds contrast and dynamism, reinforcing the sense of energy and celebration.

The composition is driven by strong graphic elements: vivid yellows and oranges contrast sharply with the dark backdrop, while the bold typography arcs across the image, anchoring the design with clarity and impact. The overall effect is both theatrical and modern, reflecting the evolution of advertising toward simplified forms and striking visual identity.

Printed and published in Italy by Top Art Milano, this large-format reproduction captures the vibrancy and charm of the original design, offering a decorative and accessible interpretation of a vintage advertising classic. As a product of the pre-digital poster era, it retains strong color saturation and visual presence.

A lively and highly decorative work, ideal for collectors of vintage advertising, Italian design, and hospitality-inspired interiors.

About the Artist

Leonetto Cappiello

Leonetto Cappiello (1875–1942) was an Italian-French poster artist and painter, often called the father of modern advertising for revolutionizing poster design. Unlike earlier artists such as Jules Chéret, who favored painterly styles, Cappiello introduced bold, eye-catching figures set against dark backgrounds, a striking departure from tradition. Without formal training, he began as a caricaturist for journals including Le Rire and La Baïonnette, publishing his first album Lanterna Magica in 1896. His first poster appeared in 1899 for the newspaper Frou-Frou, and he quickly rose to prominence during the early 20th-century poster boom. Today, some of his works are housed in the Museo Civico Giovanni Fattori in Livorno.
