Original lithograph by Marc Chagall, listed as Sorlier #52, created for the exhibition Peintures 1947–1967 at the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Adapted from a monotype, this poster was printed by Mourlot and published by Maeght, Paris. The edition consisted of 2,000 impressions with text, 150 impressions without text on Arches vellum, and a small number of artist’s proofs.

The composition—divided into deep blues and radiant yellows—captures Chagall’s signature dreamlike symbolism, drawing from two decades of his most celebrated postwar painting. Created for one of Chagall’s important retrospectives at the Maeght Foundation, this lithographic poster remains a coveted example of the artist’s collaborative history with Mourlot and his long-standing relationship with Galerie Maeght, making it a meaningful and collectible piece for Chagall enthusiasts.
