Patrick Nagel's Commemorative Poster Series is a collection of fifteen iconic posters, numbered NC01 to NC15, created over a span of four years. These works perfectly capture the sleek, high-tech, and glossy aesthetic that defined the visual culture of the late 1980s. Known for his bold, minimalist style and unmistakable portrayal of strong, elegant women, Nagel's imagery became synonymous with the glamour, sophistication, and cool detachment of the era.

Published by Mirage Editions, a publisher recognized for its role in making fine art editions accessible to a wider audience, the posters were meticulously screenprinted to maintain the crisp, clean lines and rich, solid color fields for which Nagel is celebrated. The now-defunct Mirage Editions played a key role in distributing Nagel's work, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most recognizable artists of his time.

The Commemorative Posters are emblematic of the "high-gloss" aesthetic popular in fashion, advertising, and commercial design throughout the 80s. Nagel's sharp, stylized portraits of confident, fashionable women have become cultural touchstones, regularly appearing in pop culture references and commanding strong demand in the art market. Today, these posters are highly collectible, cherished by both seasoned collectors and admirers of retro 80s design. Their enduring popularity reflects the timeless appeal of Nagel's clean, bold vision of modern elegance.
