PABLO PICASSO Tauromachie, 1982
In 1982, the Musée d'Art Moderne in Céret, France, hosted the exhibition "Picasso et la Tauromachie" (Picasso and Bullfighting), celebrating Pablo Picasso's profound connection to bullfighting—a motif that permeated his work throughout his career. To commemorate this event, a color lithograph titled "Tauromachie" was produced after Picasso's original 1958 drawing "La Petite Corrida" (The Small Bullfight). This lithograph was recreated by master printer Henri Deschamps at the renowned Mourlot Press in Paris. Printed on fine wove paper, the edition was limited to 1,000 copies, each measuring 60 x 89 cm.
