Spencer Rowell is a British photographer best known for creating the iconic 1980s poster titled L’Enfant, also known as “Man and Baby” or “The Athena Poster.” This image, featuring a shirtless male model holding a baby, became one of the most popular and best-selling posters of the 1980s, embodying ideals of masculinity, sensitivity, and parenthood. In a significant career shift, Spencer Rowell eventually transitioned from photography to studying psychology. He became a psychotherapist and established himself in the field, moving away from his earlier artistic focus.
