The Glass Menagerie is a memory play by Tennessee Williams about a strained family: Amanda Wingfield, her anxious and fragile daughter Laura, and her restless son Tom, who longs to escape. The story centers on nostalgia, broken dreams, and the tension between duty and desire.

A Scott McKowen poster for this production would emphasize the play’s fragility, memory, and emotional tension. His woodcut-style imagery tends to use dramatic contrast, symbolic poses, and intimate domestic settings—reflecting Laura’s delicate world (the glass animals), Amanda’s faded hopes, and Tom’s yearning for freedom.
