“Das Notenblatt” is the German title for Juan Gris’s Le papier à musique (The Music Paper), a Cubist still life in which Gris uses a sheet of music—and related tabletop motifs—to explore how visual form can echo musical rhythm, structure, and harmony. This theme appears throughout his work of the period, especially in compositions featuring guitars, violins, and music paper.

This 1995 offset-lithograph poster was published in the Collection of European Masters series for Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen by Achenbach Editions. The original painting (oil on canvas) was created December 1913–January 1914 and is held in the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
