Herbert Bayer

Herbert Bayer (1900–1985) was a pioneering Austrian-American artist, designer, and architect, known for his significant contributions to modern art and design. Born in Haag, Austria, Bayer began his career as an apprentice to an architect before studying at the Bauhaus school in Weimar, Germany. At Bauhaus, Bayer was deeply influenced by its founder, Walter Gropius, and the school's emphasis on the integration of art, craft, and technology.
