In 1988, photographer Spencer Rowell created a piece titled "Animal Magnetism," which features a male model posing with a leopard. This work is often viewed as a homage to Avedon's earlier photograph, drawing parallels in its exploration of the interplay between human and animal forms.

Rowell added his own twist by presenting a male figure alongside the animal, subtly questioning societal views on power, sexuality, and nature.
