Portrait of Ingrid Bergman as a nun from The Bells of St. Mary’s, created by Andy Warhol and published by Galerie Börjeson in 1983. This variant features a cool, silvery palette that shifts the composition toward a cinematic, almost noir sensibility, standing in striking contrast to the warmer interpretations in the series. Printed on heavy glossy stock and bearing the original printed Warhol signature, this edition remains one of the rare late-Pop works produced while Warhol was alive and collaborating directly with Börjeson.

Presented in a white wood frame with a 1-inch front profile and 3/4-inch side profile, mounted behind a 4-inch soft white mat for a crisp, gallery-style finish that elevates Warhol’s bold, iconic imagery.

About the Artist

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol made art out of things people usually ignore. Cans of soup, famous faces, dollar signs, newspaper photos. He chose these images because they were already everywhere. By repeating them, he forced people to actually look at how much power everyday images have. What Warhol changed was the idea of what art could be about. He showed that fame, money, and attention all work in similar ways. If you see something enough times, it starts to feel important. His work helped people understand how modern culture creates value, not through meaning, but through visibility.
