This monumental double‑sided billboard was conceived and designed by Jean-Paul Goude for Galeries Lafayette, the iconic Parisian department store. Titled “OUII Galeries Lafayette,” the oversized poster was installed across France in prominent urban locations, celebrating French style and high fashion. In this vibrant advertisement, Goude masterfully explores bold color, graphic form, and typographic playfulness, weaving the store’s name seamlessly into a stylish visual narrative that captures the energy and elegance of Galeries Lafayette’s brand identity.

The design is both striking and immersive—inviting viewers to engage with its sumptuous palette, architectural composition, and the larger-than-life “OUII” motif that echoes the joyous spirit of couture and commerce. In 2001, Goude launched the celebrated “Laetitia Casta’s Adventures in Galeries Lafayette” advertisements that melded whimsy with fashion-forward visuals—a signature style that resonated deeply with the brand .
