Alison Wilding, born in 1948 in Blackburn, Lancashire, is renowned for her multimedia abstract sculptures. Her work often explores the interplay between contrasting materials and forms, creating pieces that challenge perceptions and evoke a range of sensory experiences. Wilding has been a prominent figure in the British art scene since the 1980s and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2019 for her services to art.
